Welcome to TradePesa! We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our platform — including the marketplace, demo trading simulator, real-money Live mode, M-Pesa payments, the Solana blockchain listing feature, and any related services.

1. 📋 What We Collect
a. Personal Information
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number, including the M-Pesa number used for deposits and withdrawals
- Country/location
- Identity or KYC verification details, where required for real-money features
- Profile photo (optional)
b. Financial & Transaction Information
- M-Pesa deposit and withdrawal transaction records (amounts, phone numbers, M-Pesa receipt numbers, timestamps)
- K$Coin balance and transaction history, in both Practice and Live modes
- Solana blockchain listing fee payments and the resulting on-chain mint address, where you use that feature
- HODL stakes, Challenge participation, and referral activity
c. Platform Activity
- Trades made in the marketplace (Practice and Live)
- Items or tokens created, listed, or sold
- Messages sent to the AI chat assistant
- Wallet balance (in K$Coin)
d. Technical Information
- Device information (browser, type, IP address)
- Approximate location (from IP)
- Cookies and tracking data
2. 💡 How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve platform features
- Process real M-Pesa deposits and withdrawals accurately and securely
- Power your profile, portfolio, and marketplace listings
- Track demo and real trade performance
- Process Solana blockchain listing requests and record the resulting on-chain transaction
- Detect and prevent fraud, money laundering, and abuse of K$Coin, deposits, withdrawals, referrals, or Challenges
- Personalize your experience (recommendations, trending content, etc.)
- Communicate updates, announcements, or support replies
- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations applicable to a platform that processes real M-Pesa payments
- Analyze usage for platform improvement
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
3. 🤝 Third-Party Services
To operate the platform, we share limited data with trusted third-party service providers, including:
- Safaricom M-Pesa — to process deposits and withdrawals. We do not have access to your M-Pesa PIN
- The Solana blockchain network — if you use the blockchain listing feature, the token name, symbol, and supply you provide become permanently public on-chain, viewable by anyone via Solana Explorer
- AI service providers — messages sent to our in-app AI assistant may be processed by a third-party AI provider to generate a response. Avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chat
- Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics or similar) — for anonymous usage statistics
These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for unrelated purposes.
4. 🔐 Data Security
We use modern encryption and server protection practices to keep your information safe. All traffic is protected by HTTPS, and sensitive operations are guarded by secure tokens and login verification.
We encourage users to:
- Use strong passwords
- Never share account login details or M-Pesa PINs with anyone, including TradePesa staff
- Report any suspicious activity
5. 👤 Account Privacy Controls
You control your profile settings. You can:
- Choose what information is shown publicly (like display name)
- Change or delete your profile photo
- Opt-in or opt-out of marketing communications
If you wish to delete your account, you can request it in your settings or by contacting support. Note that transaction records related to real M-Pesa deposits/withdrawals and blockchain listings may be retained as required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes even after account deletion.
6. 👨⚖️ Legal Requirements & Compliance
We may share your data only if required by law or to:
- Comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations, including anti-money-laundering requirements
- Enforce our Terms of Service
- Protect platform integrity or investigate abuse, fraud, or suspected illegal activity
- Respond to lawful requests from Kenyan authorities or regulators
We operate under the laws of Kenya and respect all applicable data protection regulations, including the Kenya Data Protection Act.

8. 🚸 Children's Privacy
TradePesa is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover that someone underage has created an account, we will delete it promptly and reverse any real-money transactions where possible.
9. 👥 Community Features (Profiles, Following, Posts & Notifications)
TradePesa includes optional community features that involve additional data:
- Public Profile — your username, bio, join date, and the tokens you've created are visible to anyone visiting your public profile page, including logged-out visitors, and may be indexed by search engines
- Following — if you follow another user, that connection and your follower/following counts are visible to other users viewing profiles
- Community Posts — if you write a community post, its title and body are reviewed (by automated AI screening and, where needed, a human moderator) before being published publicly and indexed by search engines; rejected posts remain visible only to you
- Notifications — we store in-app notifications in your account (for example, when someone you follow launches a new token) and, if you grant browser permission, may send push notifications to your device
You control what's shown on your public profile via your account settings, and choose whether to follow other users, write posts, or enable push notifications.
