TradePesa has two trading modes designed for different levels of experience: Practice Trading and Live Trading.
Practice Trading (Demo Mode)
When you first join TradePesa, you get a virtual wallet loaded with K$Coins. You can use these to buy and sell any token on the platform without risking real money. Practice mode is perfect for learning how to read charts, understanding how the market reacts to trades, and testing your strategies before going live.
Live Trading
Live trading uses real K$Coins that you deposit via M-Pesa. Every token trades against a live liquidity pool — the price moves automatically based on the size of each trade relative to how deep that token's pool is. A small trade moves the price a little; a large trade moves it more, the same way a real market reacts to buy and sell pressure. Trades execute instantly and are reflected on the price chart immediately, with a small trading fee applied to each Live trade.
Reading the Charts
TradePesa uses professional candlestick charts with multiple timeframes (1M, 5M, 15M, 1H, 4H, 1D, 1W, and more). Each candle shows the open, high, low, and close price for that period. Green candles mean price went up; red candles mean it went down. You can also switch on technical indicators — Bollinger Bands, RSI, ATR — directly on the chart, or draw your own trendlines to mark support and resistance levels.
Market Sentiment
Each token's analysis page shows 24-hour market sentiment — whether buying or selling pressure is currently stronger — alongside 24-hour volume, all-time high/low, holder count, and full trade history.
Tracking Your Own Position
If you're holding a token, the trading chart can show exactly where you bought in — including every individual purchase if you've bought more than once — so you can see at a glance whether each of your buys is currently in profit or loss, not just your overall average.
